Been working on this one for the past while, it was a lot of fun to paint and is considerably more complex then nearly anything I've done previously. It'll be in a Wickham St group show called Ludic/Ludo/Ludos opening on Thursday at Occupy Space. See ya there :)

finished this new painting last week, definately feels like a new direction for me. the work is constantly taking new twists and turns as i go on and this is always a very exciting process. the problem i always seem to have is tracking the source of each new development, as a lot of it seems to happen rather intuitively. this is something ive been working on for years and am slowly getting better at. where some painters work develops along a distinctive line of thought, mine often seems to be more zig-zagging around or all-encompassing in a bizarre post post modern sense. more soon.

Have been working on a few small pieces since the show, working from the photographs I had taken last Christmas. Unusual to paint snowscapes in the middle of August, but sometimes a batch of photos needs to sit for a few months before the penny drops :)

As the summer draws to a close :'-( , I have a chance to look back on a very eventful summer for me. From the Hi_ Res Group show at the end of may, to my first solo show in June its been a very eventful few months. Hi everyone, welcome to my new blog, I'l be using this space to post new paintings and images as I'm working on them, I'v seen this done by other Artists with varying degrees of success, and always fancied giving it a go myself. Of course, longevity is the big test, anyway, here goes! :D
